Lampshades in James Malone fabric
James Malone Fabrics is a textile house in Málaga, southern Spain, founded by the designer James Malone. He grew up in England and has lived on the Andalusian coast for more than 30 years, and the two worlds meet in what he calls an English Mediterranean style. His designs are painted by hand before becoming prints and woven fabrics, often in natural fibres such as linen, hemp and wool. The collections draw on travel, different cultures and the Andalusian landscape.
There's something very personal about James Malone's fabrics. They feel relaxed, a bit like long Mediterranean summers, but with an adventurous streak. We love the textures and the natural materials. As a lampshade they bring warmth and a little surprise to a room, and they work just as well alongside other patterns as on their own.
